Howards' Renaissance Dress: Our Story

This site is a labor of love for myself and my daughter, Andrea. After spending most of my life working for corporate America as an IT professional, I am finally working on something that is important to me. Namely, a site that allows me to combine my lifelong passion for English history with offering fine quality Renaissance clothing to people, who like myself, look forward to the Renaissance faires every year.

The research, content, and ideas are mine, but the credit for the technical design and functionality, goes solely to my daughter, the web-master and host for our site. If you like what you see here, please let us know, and if you would like her help with your own web project, she will be happy to talk with you about it.

Our goal is to provide useful and interesting information about the English Renaissance, Renaissance clothing, and Howard history, while at the same time promoting the garments created by small businesses. If you would be interested in working with us as a supplier of high quality and/or custom made Renaissance clothing, please contact us. We welcome the opportunity to work with you.

Please look through our pages of fine Renaissance clothing for men, women, and children. If you don't find exactly what you need, please feel free to contact us, because our suppliers are eager to create something special, just for you. Our lovely custom Renaissance bridal gowns by Jay, of Knightly Endeavors, have been featured on The Bridal Gown Show on TLC. Cheryl, of Ye Olde Costume Shoppe, in addition to her original wench wear and cloak designs, has had her faithful recreations of The Lord of the Rings elven cloaks, and Harry Potter Hogwarts robes, featured on several sites that cater to the fans of these popular books and movies.

I want to thank my daughter Tracy, her husband Daniel, and Andrea's partner, Peter, for loving us, and believing in our project; and my granddaughter, Pamela, for the joy she has brought into our lives. This site is dedicated to all Howards, wherever they may be; but most especially to the ones I know and love best, my father, Wiley Frederick Howard, and to the memory of my dear mother, Edna Eugenia Warrick Howard. This is my way of saying thank you for a lifetime of love, support and encouragement.
